Our 2019 workshop "Love is in the Air," held on Monday, February 18 was a great success! We had record attendance for this unusual Monday workshop. 60 participants came from far and near - from Arcata to Santa Cruz; from Bodega Bay and Russian River to Elk Grove, as well as the greater Bay Area (north south, and east).
Rotem and Hanneke provided us with beautiful repertoire, all fitting the topic of love in its various manifestations, that we are sure to use with our ensembles and call to mind the excellent instruction we received.
THANK YOU to everyone who helped the workshop flow smoothly! Guests from all corners helped with the task of setting up and later putting away the 80 chairs needed for the playing areas. Others pitched right in to wash cups and glasses - we never use paper cups - clean up the kitchen, and return the church to "normal." The San Francisco Recorder Society provided sumptuous refreshments: gourmet treats and home-made delights that received many expressions of appreciation. Thank you all for your special efforts and culinary talents.
Special thanks to our hosts at Christ Church Lutheran, who graciously allow our use of the church and who place such trust in us to care for their building and sacred space. We love our relationship with this community! There is great promise that the sanctuary will have heat next year, and we again apologize for the chilly space due to the faulty boiler (which will soon be repaired).
We look forward with eager anticipation to next year's workshop!
